Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2018 China Guardian in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Running Script by Sha Menghai. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 59,000.00 (€ 6,225.44), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sha Menghai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 330,400.00 (€ 38,184.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2018 führte China Guardian in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Running Script von Sha Menghai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 59.000,00 (€ 6.225,44) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sha Menghai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 330.400,00 (€ 38.184,55).
