Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Sha Menghai was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 88,500.00 (€ 9,740.47). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sha Menghai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 330,400.00 (€ 38,184.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Sha Menghai kam im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 88.500,00 (€ 9.740,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Sha Menghai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 330.400,00 (€ 38.184,55) versteigert wurde.
