Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Five-Character Couplet In Running Script by Sha Menghai was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. It achieved a price of HKD 141,600.00 (€ 15,584.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 18%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sha Menghai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 330,400.00 (€ 38,184.55).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Running Script von Sha Menghai kam im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 141.600,00 (€ 15.584,75) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 18%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sha Menghai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 330.400,00 (€ 38.184,55) versteigert wurde.
