Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Sha Menghai was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,674.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sha Menghai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 330,400.00 (€ 38,184.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Sha Menghai wurde im Juni 2015 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.674,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sha Menghai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 330.400,00 (€ 38.184,55).
