Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Sha Menghai was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 118,750.00 (€ 13,378.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sha Menghai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 330,400.00 (€ 38,184.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Sha Menghai kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 118.750,00 (€ 13.378,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sha Menghai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 330.400,00 (€ 38.184,55) versteigert wurde.
