Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (from the Before the Last Meal series) by Serwan Baran was sold in the Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in October 2019. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,398.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Serwan Baran - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Minutes in the Sun, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 50,400.00 (€ 47,306.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (from the Before the Last Meal series) von Serwan Baran wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.398,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Serwan Baran mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Minutes in the Sun beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 50.400,00 (€ 47.306,18) versteigert wurde.
