This artwork by Serwan Baran achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in November this year. In the Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art auction, the work without title sold for GBP 27,720.00 (€ 32,121.45) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Serwan Baran; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Minutes in the Sun sold at auction in May this year with the realized price of USD 50,400.00 (€ 47,306.18).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Serwan Baran erzielte im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 27.720,00 (€ 32.121,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Serwan Baran; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Minutes in the Sun im Mai diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 47.306,18).
