Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Piccola macelleria by Sergio Romiti was auctioned at Christies in Milan in May 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,680.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sergio Romiti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composizione, which sold at auction in November 2000 for ITL 28,200,000.00 (€ 25,948.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Piccola macelleria von Sergio Romiti kam im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Mailand zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.680,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Sergio Romiti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composizione beobachtet, die im November 2000 für ITL 28.200.000,00 (€ 25.948,93) versteigert wurde.
