Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2012 Sothebys in Milan held the auction Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, which included the work Mao Tze Tung by Sergio Lombardo. It changed hands for a price of EUR 18,750.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergio Lombardo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bianco 49 (White 49) in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 131,250.00 (€ 152,240.59).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2012 führte Sothebys in Mailand die Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mao Tze Tung von Sergio Lombardo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 18.750,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergio Lombardo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bianco 49 (White 49) im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.250,00 (€ 152.240,59).
