Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Roman Viaduct by Sergei Essaian was sold in the Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection auction at Sothebys in London in December 2021. The price achieved of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,711.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sergei Essaian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Pope'S Dinner in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,579.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Roman Viaduct von Sergei Essaian wurde im Dezember 2021 in der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Russian Art from a Private Collection bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.711,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sergei Essaian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Pope'S Dinner im Februar 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.579,14).
