Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Morning light by Serge Marshennikov was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in December 2006. The price achieved of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,904.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Serge Marshennikov - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Harem Dreams, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 21,600.00 (€ 32,076.68).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 8.904,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
