Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jihad Pop (Set Of Twelve Prints) by Tahera Seher Shah was sold in the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art Online auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2019. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 9,170.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Tahera Seher Shah - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Monumental Fantasies - Impermanence I, which sold at auction in March 2019 for USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,718.92).
