In June 2011 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work An Antelope by Seff Weidl. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,187.50 (€ 817.67), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Seff Weidl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Säulenplastik in September 2002 with an auction result of EUR 9,200.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Antelope von Seff Weidl zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.187,50 (€ 817,67) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Seff Weidl erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Säulenplastik im September 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.200,00.
