Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Artcurial held the auction Limited Edition, which included the work With - 1988 by Sean Scully. The price achieved of EUR 5,248.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sean Scully achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Song in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,046,500.00 (€ 1,907,091.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Limited Edition durch, in der auch die Arbeit With - 1988 von Sean Scully zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.248,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sean Scully erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Song im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.046.500,00 (€ 1.907.091,60).
