Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work Black and Blue by Sean Scherer for USD 508.00 (€ 467.26). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction at Phillips and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sean Scherer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Off White Square), which sold at auction in June 2015 for EUR 1,264.00.

Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Black and Blue von Sean Scherer für USD 508,00 (€ 467,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art: Online Auction bei Phillips erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Sean Scherer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Off White Square) beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für EUR 1.264,00 versteigert wurde.
