In the Maritime Art auction, the work Out of the mist, Columbia and Shamrock the America's Cup contest of 1901 changed hands for USD 7,200.00 (€ 5,539.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 10,000.00. Other works by Scott Cameron have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in January 2008 by the work Skipper's choice; The Yachts Volunteer and Thistle during the 1887 America's Cup at USD 8,750.00 (€ 5,895.83).
