Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Scipione Vannutelli could be acquired at Christies in New York in August 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Chamberlain in his library changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 491.97) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Scipione Vannutelli have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegory of Peace in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,803.40).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Scipione Vannutelli konnte im August 2010 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Chamberlain in his library für USD 625,00 (€ 491,97) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Scipione Vannutelli auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegory of Peace im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.803,40).
