A top price for Scipione Vannutelli - as previously expected
In May 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art, which included the work An Allegory of Peace by Scipione Vannutelli. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,803.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, An Allegory of Peace is the most expensive artwork by Scipione Vannutelli that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Mai 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Allegory of Peace von Scipione Vannutelli zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.803,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist An Allegory of Peace das teuerste Kunstwerk von Scipione Vannutelli, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
