Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Spaniel and a Terrier in a landscape by Sawrey Gilpin was sold in the Sporting Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2002. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,170.00 (€ 7,677.48). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sawrey Gilpin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hawking in November 2007 with an auction result of GBP 84,500.00 (€ 118,321.86).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Spaniel and a Terrier in a landscape von Sawrey Gilpin wurde im Mai 2002 in der Auktion Sporting Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.170,00 (€ 7.677,48) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sawrey Gilpin erzielen.
