Despite a disappointment, a good price for Saul Fletcher
When the work Untitled #142 (Landscapes) by Saul Fletcher was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 6,300.00 (€ 5,409.12). Despite this disappointing result, Untitled #142 (Landscapes) is the most expensive artwork by Saul Fletcher that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Saul Fletcher
Als die Arbeit Untitled #142 (Landscapes) von Saul Fletcher im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 6.300,00 (€ 5.409,12) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Untitled #142 (Landscapes) das teuerste Kunstwerk von Saul Fletcher, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
