Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Tony Sarg could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in April 2011 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Original Illustration Art from the Collections of Kendra and Allan Daniel auction, the work Four illustrations, comprising: i) Two children, a dog and a rabbit ii) "Robins are 'flowers'?" iii) "Whom did Little Red Riding Hood meet in the Woods?" iv) "Can your child name the young of a horse and a sheep?" changed hands for USD 625.00 (€ 421.70) - missing the lower en Admittedly, works by Tony Sarg have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Set of illustrations for The Cock, The Mouse and The Little Red Hen in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,216.99).
