In November 2007 Christies in London held the auction The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures, which included the work A lady, in white lace-bordered black dress with white sleeves, white ribbon tied at waist, upswept dark hair dressed in ringlets by Sarah Biffin. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,750.32), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sarah Biffin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-Portrait Before Her Easel, Circa 1821 in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 137,500.00 (€ 162,508.91).

Im November 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion The Gordon Collection of Portrait Miniatures durch, in der auch die Arbeit A lady, in white lace-bordered black dress with white sleeves, white ribbon tied at waist, upswept dark hair dressed in ringlets von Sarah Biffin zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.750,32) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sarah Biffin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-Portrait Before Her Easel, Circa 1821 im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 137.500,00 (€ 162.508,91).
