Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Phillips in London held the auction Under the Influence, which included the work Person Paid to have 30 cm line tattooed on them by Santiago Sierra. The price achieved of GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,390.47) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Santiago Sierra have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3000 Huecos (3000 Hollows) in December 2016 with an auction result of GBP 23,125.00 (€ 27,036.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Under the Influence durch, in der auch die Arbeit Person Paid to have 30 cm line tattooed on them von Santiago Sierra zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.390,47) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Santiago Sierra auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 3000 Huecos (3000 Hollows) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 23.125,00 (€ 27.036,88).
