Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Maybe Babies, 1983 by Sandy Skoglund was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2018. The price achieved of USD 3,750.00 (€ 3,105.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sandy Skoglund achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Green House, 1990 in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 37,250.00 (€ 46,411.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Maybe Babies, 1983 von Sandy Skoglund kam im April 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.750,00 (€ 3.105,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sandy Skoglund erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Green House, 1990 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.250,00 (€ 46.411,86).
