The work The Visitation by Samuel van Hoogstraten was worth GBP 28,750.00 (€ 32,994.93) to a buyer in July 2011. This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Samuel van Hoogstraten have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Crucifixion in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 319,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Visitation von Samuel van Hoogstraten war einem Käufer im Juli 2011 GBP 28.750,00 (€ 32.994,93) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Drawings Including Property from the Descendants of Walter Brandt bei Sothebys in London erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Samuel van Hoogstraten auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Crucifixion im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 319.000,00.
