The work The Annunciation by Samuel van Hoogstraten was sold in the Old Master Drawings auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2014. It achieved a price of USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,666.67), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel van Hoogstraten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Crucifixion in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 319,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Annunciation von Samuel van Hoogstraten wurde im Januar 2014 in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 16.666,67) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel van Hoogstraten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Crucifixion im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 319.000,00.
