Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Lady, Half-Length, In A Red And White Dress, A Dark Red Wrap And Pearl Earrings, A Letter In Her Left Hand, Leaning On A Stone Ledge by Samuel van Hoogstraten was sold in the OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2005. It changed hands for a price of EUR 14,400.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel van Hoogstraten achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Crucifixion in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 319,000.00.

Die Arbeit Portrait of Lady, Half-Length, In A Red And White Dress, A Dark Red Wrap And Pearl Earrings, A Letter In Her Left Hand, Leaning On A Stone Ledge von Samuel van Hoogstraten wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 14.400,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Samuel van Hoogstraten erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Crucifixion im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 319.000,00.
