Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Student In A Landscape by Sam Fullbrook. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 2,390.00 (€ 1,392.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Fullbrook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,962.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL AND CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Student In A Landscape von Sam Fullbrook zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 2.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 2.390,00 (€ 1.392,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Fullbrook erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 38.400,00 (€ 22.962,30).
