Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Belle Of The Canefields by Sam Fullbrook for AUD 18,000.00 (€ 10,843.14). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art at Sothebys in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sam Fullbrook - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes, which sold at auction in August 2007 for AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,962.30).
