Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Koala by Sam Fullbrook was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists auction at Christies in London in October 2011. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,880.63) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Fullbrook achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,962.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Koala von Sam Fullbrook wurde im Oktober 2011 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Australian Art with Works by 20th Century African Artists bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.880,63) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
