It achieved a price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 41,172.51), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Palmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Shepherd leading his flock under the full moon in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 1,588,000.00 (€ 1,862,259.27).
