Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Forss River, near Thurso, with Forss House in the distance by Samuel John Lamorna Birch was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 448.00 (€ 519.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel John Lamorna Birch achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Where'er you walk in June 2002 with an auction result of GBP 71,700.00 (€ 110,903.66).

Die Arbeit The Forss River, near Thurso, with Forss House in the distance von Samuel John Lamorna Birch kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 448,00 (€ 519,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden.
