Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2006 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings, which included the work Inside Abbeville Cathedral by Samuel Gillespie Prout. The price achieved of EUR 960.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Other works by Samuel Gillespie Prout have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2003 the work A courtyard scene, France was auctioned for GBP 763.75 (€ 995.11).

Im Juni 2006 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Inside Abbeville Cathedral von Samuel Gillespie Prout zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 960,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Samuel Gillespie Prout konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2003 die Arbeit A courtyard scene, France für GBP 763,75 (€ 995,11) versteigert.
