Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tally-Ho! by Samuel Alken Junior was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2011. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,024.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Samuel Alken Junior achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Leaving The Kennel; And Full Cry in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 109,000.00 (€ 70,015.42).
