Auction result misses estimated price range
In November last year a collector was able to acquire the work Fuck, Suck, Spank, Wank by Sam Taylor-Johnson for GBP 504.00 (€ 584.02). This price was achieved in the auction Wired: Online Auction at Phillips in an online auction and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Taylor-Johnson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work After Van Halen in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 88,000.00 (€ 57,944.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Fuck, Suck, Spank, Wank von Sam Taylor-Johnson für GBP 504,00 (€ 584,02) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Wired: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sam Taylor-Johnson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit After Van Halen im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.000,00 (€ 57.944,29).
