Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Five Revolutionary Seconds Vii by Sam Taylor-Johnson was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2020. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,039.30), 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Sam Taylor-Johnson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work After Van Halen in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 88,000.00 (€ 57,944.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Five Revolutionary Seconds Vii von Sam Taylor-Johnson wurde im April 2020 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.250,00 (€ 6.039,30) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Taylor-Johnson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit After Van Halen im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 88.000,00 (€ 57.944,29).
