Auction result well in line with expectations
The work January sunshine, a Cotswold farm; and Sheep grazing, mid-summer by Sam Morse Brown was sold in the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction at Christies in London in August 2006. The price achieved of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,427.58) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Sam Morse Brown have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The crucifixion of humanity in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 8,030.14).
