Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Sam Morse Brown could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental and Russian Pictures auction, the work And so it was good; and Divine comet changed hands for GBP 384.00 (€ 571.03) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sam Morse Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The crucifixion of humanity in August 2006 with an auction result of GBP 5,400.00 (€ 8,030.14).
