Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Sothebys in Melbourne held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian marmoset by Sam Leach. It changed hands for a price of AUD 6,000.00 (€ 3,502.49) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 4,500.00 – 6,500.00. Other works by Sam Leach have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2009 the work Australian Cryomoderator was auctioned for AUD 6,600.00 (€ 4,024.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Sothebys in Melbourne die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian marmoset von Sam Leach zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 6.000,00 (€ 3.502,49) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 4.500,00 – 6.500,00. Andere Arbeiten von Sam Leach konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2009 die Arbeit Australian Cryomoderator für AUD 6.600,00 (€ 4.024,53) versteigert.
