The work Lady Day II by Sam Gilliam was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2018. Here, the upper estimate of USD 2,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 2,172,500.00 (€ 1,918,661.13). With this result, Lady Day II is even the most expensive work of art by Sam Gilliam that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Lady Day II von Sam Gilliam kam im November 2018 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 2.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 2.172.500,00 (€ 1.918.661,13) einen neuen Besitzer.
