Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Australian Nor West Mountain Gums by Sam Fullbrook was auctioned at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of AUD 9,000.00 (€ 5,381.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Sam Fullbrook have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 38,400.00 (€ 22,962.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Australian Nor West Mountain Gums von Sam Fullbrook kam im August 2007 bei Sothebys in Melbourne zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von AUD 9.000,00 (€ 5.381,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sam Fullbrook auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Nocturne With Aeroplane And Fishes im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 38.400,00 (€ 22.962,30).
