This artwork by Sam Doyle achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in January this year. In the Outsider and Vernacular Art auction, the work He/She sold for USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,492.17) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sam Doyle; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot I'll Hit You Man sold at auction in January this year with the realized price of USD 45,360.00 (€ 41,775.65).
