In the Looking Closely: A Private Collection auction, the work Portrait De Paul Éluard sold for GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000,000.00. This high result makes Portrait De Paul Éluard the most expensive artwork by Salvador Dalí that we have observed at auctions so far.
