This artwork by Saloua Raouda Choucair achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Poem sold for USD 32,200.00 (€ 22,256.01) - well above the upper estimate of USD 16,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Saloua Raouda Choucair - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dual, which sold at auction in October 2018 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,432.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Saloua Raouda Choucair erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Poem für USD 32.200,00 (€ 22.256,01) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 16.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Saloua Raouda Choucair mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dual beobachtet, die im Oktober 2018 für GBP 56.250,00 (€ 63.432,65) versteigert wurde.
