The work Connection by Saliba Douaihy was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2017. It achieved a price of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 68,411.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Admittedly, works by Saliba Douaihy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 336,500.00 (€ 288,346.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Connection von Saliba Douaihy kam im Oktober 2017 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 60.000,00 (€ 68.411,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saliba Douaihy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.500,00 (€ 288.346,19).
