Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Americanuntitled by Saliba Douaihy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,541.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Saliba Douaihy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 336,500.00 (€ 288,346.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Americanuntitled von Saliba Douaihy kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.541,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Saliba Douaihy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.500,00 (€ 288.346,19).
