Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Americancomposition Abstraite (Abstract Composition) by Saliba Douaihy was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2018. The price achieved of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 71,180.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Saliba Douaihy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 336,500.00 (€ 288,346.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Americancomposition Abstraite (Abstract Composition) von Saliba Douaihy kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 71.180,84) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saliba Douaihy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 336.500,00 (€ 288.346,19).
