Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Sydney Terraces, 1974 by Sali Herman was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in November 2020. The price achieved of AUD 24,600.00 (€ 20,589.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sali Herman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Railway Station, 1947, which sold at auction in April this year for AUD 73,800.00 (€ 44,233.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Sydney Terraces, 1974 von Sali Herman wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 24.600,00 (€ 20.589,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sali Herman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Railway Station, 1947 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für AUD 73.800,00 (€ 44.233,21) versteigert wurde.
