Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Alley Cat, 1950 by Sali Herman was auctioned at Bonhams in Sidney in May last year. The price achieved of AUD 18,450.00 (€ 17,193.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sali Herman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Railway Station, 1947, which sold at auction in April this year for AUD 73,800.00 (€ 44,233.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Alley Cat, 1950 von Sali Herman kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 18.450,00 (€ 17.193,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Sali Herman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Railway Station, 1947 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für AUD 73.800,00 (€ 44.233,21) versteigert wurde.
