The work Australian Redfern Backyards by Sali Herman was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Sothebys in Melbourne in November 2009. It achieved a price of AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,951.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 44%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sali Herman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Railway Station, 1947, which sold at auction in April this year for AUD 73,800.00 (€ 44,233.21).

Die Arbeit Australian Redfern Backyards von Sali Herman wurde im November 2009 in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Sothebys in Melbourne versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 36.000,00 (€ 21.951,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 44%. Für andere Arbeiten von Sali Herman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Railway Station, 1947 beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für AUD 73.800,00 (€ 44.233,21) versteigert wurde.
